PRAY BOLDLY. TRUST COMPLETELY.

Community Guidelines

Keep Watch exists to help people pray together with reverence, compassion and trust in God.

Prayer is not a popularity contest

Prayer counts are a record of people keeping watch, not a ranking system.

More prayers do not mean a person is more important, more faithful or more deserving of an answer.

Do not use prayer counts, participation or Prayer Watch activity to shame, pressure or compare people.

Respect the person behind the prayer

Prayer requests often involve illness, grief, relationships, family difficulties and other deeply personal circumstances.

Treat every vigil as though a real person and family are standing behind it — because they are.

Protect privacy

Do not share private medical, family, financial or personal details about another person without appropriate permission.

Use private or unlisted vigils where the circumstances should not be publicly discoverable.

Words of support should remain supportive

Support messages should encourage, comfort and pray alongside others.

Harassment, arguments, condemnation, intimidation, unwanted promotion and manipulative messages do not belong in prayer spaces.

No spiritual manipulation

Do not tell another person that an outcome depends upon reaching a particular number of prayers, displaying enough faith, giving money or performing a particular act.

Keep Watch encourages persistent prayer while leaving the outcome in God's hands.

No exploitation or scams

Prayer spaces must not be used to exploit vulnerable people, conduct scams, solicit money dishonestly or impersonate churches, ministries or individuals.

Church communities

Church administrators and prayer leaders should use their authority carefully and respectfully.

Church membership and prayer participation should not be used to pressure people or expose private prayer matters without permission.

If something concerns you

Use Keep Watch's reporting tools if you encounter content that appears abusive, exploitative, misleading, inappropriate or unsafe.
